THE
LINE
The line is a point of cultural condensation.
A cultural infrastructure where practices, ideas, and people come into temporary proximity, intensify, and move on. It operates through time-bound activations that create conditions for connection, development, and circulation. What takes place here is not meant to conclude, but to transform and continue elsewhere.

The Line engages design, art, and research practices developing beyond dominant commercial frameworks, working with non-commercial design, collectible works, limited editions, and hybrid forms carrying cultural, critical, or poetic weight. It works on density.

Each activation begins from an open question that cannot be resolved within a single moment. Projects leave traces, not chapters. Objects, documents, and works appear as moments within an evolving line of thought. Over time, these moments accumulate into a living archive shaped by use rather than closure.

Silence is part of the structure.
Language is reduced to what is necessary.
Understanding requires effort.

Relationships are treated as a design act. Connections form through proximity, repetition, and informal exchange, sustained over time rather than staged for display.

Commercial outcomes may emerge as a consequence of trust, continuity, and shared cultural ground. They remain secondary.

The Line does not seek recognition.
It seeks to be necessary.

CESCO
LIBRIZZI
Architect, born in 1977, founded Francesco Librizzi Studio in 2005, an atelier specializing in architecture, interior design, exhibition setups, and product design. Over the years, his projects have consistently explored the essential characteristics of space, emphasizing the sculptural nature of interior architecture and its relationship with the architectural heritage.
Among his most significant works, Casa C and Casa G, with their iconic staircases, have garnered widespread public and critical acclaim for their ability to bridge architecture and landscape through a sharp and lightweight design language.

His work has received prestigious international recognition, including the Prix Émile Hermès (2008) and an Honorable Mention at the Compasso d’Oro (2014) for the exhibition design of Gino Sarfatti: The Design of Light at the Triennale di Milano. His projects have been published in leading international architecture and design magazines such as Domus, Abitare, and Wallpaper, and have been exhibited at renowned institutions like the Louvre and the Triennale di Milano.
Notable exhibition designs include AILATI – The Italian Pavilion at the 12th Venice Architecture Biennale (2010), projects for the Foto/Industria Biennale produced by MAST in Bologna (2019–2023), and La Grande Brera at Palazzo Citterio (2024).

Since 2018, the studio has also focused on brand identity and art direction, establishing long-term collaborations with FontanaArte, a historic Italian lighting design brand, Siemens Italia, and the emerging upholstered furniture brand Dàmeda.

Francesco Librizzi has taught at various universities in Italy and abroad. Notably, he has collaborated with the Faculty of Architecture in Genoa, the Faculty of Architecture in Palermo, and the Master’s program in Interior Design at NABA, where he has served as a guest professor in Interior Architecture and Exhibition Design.

ROBUS -
TINI
Riccardo Robustini holds a Postgraduate Course in Smart Cities at MIT, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Master’s Degree in Advanced Architecture Design in Collective Housing, held by the Universidad Politécnica of Madrid (UPM) and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). He obtained his architectural and engineering degrees at the University of Bologna while spending two years as a visiting student at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV). At the core of his design philosophy lies an unwavering commitment to exploring innovative approaches that prioritize the human experience. From the very beginning of his career, he has been profoundly influenced by nature, recognizing the vital role it plays in our lives as a fundamental component of our well-being. In a world that is constantly evolving, he holds a strong belief in a design that finds a balance between the primordial and the modern. It represents a delicate dance between our primal instincts - where our homes are seen as both shelters and caves - and the demands of modern society, that drive his thoughts. This approach is reflected in the constant temptation to play with opposing elements, in a harmonious way, to develop a design that enables us to experience ourselves as complete, embodied, and spiritual beings. Before relocating to Dubai, Riccardo was involved with Juan Herreros Arquitectos in Madrid and with Open Building Research OBR in Italy, on significant large-scale projects around the world, spanning Europe, the USA, China, and South America. Before founding Breath Design 2014 (formerly working under the name of UNICA Architects), he worked as Design Director for the office of H.H. The Crown Prince of Dubai.
