UGO
CACCIA-
TORI
BRUMANCE
Born at the foot of the imposing Carrara Alps, Ugo Cacciatori belongs to a dynasty of marble quarry owners and artists. His early passion for materials and forms, together with his natural creative abilities, led him to attend the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Florence.
To broaden his experience, he moved to London where, after an initial involvement in architectural studios, he decided to try his hand in the fashion industry. In the late 1990s, his first collection was presented in Milan, while he began an intense consulting activity for fashion brands such as Valentino, Giambattista Valli, Romeo Gigli, Marni, Fendi, and many others.
The need for a secluded place to create led him to Lerici, a small fishing village on the border between Tuscany and Liguria—a landscape that had already inspired Lord Byron and Percy Bysshe Shelley.
Here, a new approach gradually emerged, and his distinctive mood suddenly took shape. While limiting collaborations to a few targeted projects, including the creative direction of Santa Croce (a Prada Group brand) and the development of a jewelry line for Diesel Black Gold, he divided his time between Milan and New York for over a decade. More recently, he chose Los Angeles as his creative base, where he expresses his broad experience while enjoying the Californian lifestyle.

A single
gesture cuts through mass, generating form through subtraction. What is removed
does not disappear, but reappears as its counterpart, binding presence and
absence into a single condition. The two elements remain inseparable, parts of a
whole that persists through relation. What endures is not the object itself,
but the originating act.
